Greecian Goddess...

Something about the white wrap dresses, the urn and the green grape looking things makes me think of a Greek goddess.

I discovered today that Addy can read! She has picked up on phonics from homeschool lessons and has been able to tell me what the phonograms say when we do flashcards. Well, tonight I was sitting down with Kennady trying to have her read to me. She does not enjoy reading, which makes me really sad. I think she is just used to having things come naturally and reading is difficult for her, so she feels frustrated. So, after a page or two, she decided she was done. Then, out of nowhere, Addy picked up where Kennady left off and started sounding out words! But, we know that Addy is all about fun. After a few pages of intense reading (with quite a bit of help from me), she still wanted to read, but wanted to have fun doing it. She hopped up, started jumping on my bed and said, "I have a great idea! You tell me the letters in the words and I can read them in my head while I jump!" Bounce, bounce, bounce!
