inventive...

I asked the girls to go clean their room. Brighton said, "My not know how!" So, I gave her assignments, one task at a time: "Pick up the barbies. Pick up the dress-ups. Pick up the hangers...."
(I know this picture is blurry. I grabbed my camera and quickly ran to capture the moment before she realized I was there.)
Once she realized I was there, I got this: (cheese!)I thought she was pretty creative to pick up her hangers that way. And yes...there were actually that many hangers on her floor. She just recently switched rooms and now has accessible closet space, meaning that for the first time in her life, she can reach her own clothes. She loves to change her clothes and often wears several outfits in one day (much to my dismay). I try to remind her that we pick one outfit and wear it all day. But, she is still working on remembering that rule :)

I love that you captured her picking up her hangers like that. Hopefully she will grow out of the changing her clothes a million times a day thing. I know J is a boy, but he would change his clothes for every activity, if he was playing with cars, he wanted a car shirt on, ready to go outside, he needed a basketball outfit, it drove me crazy, but he doesn't do it anymore.

Love the cheese. :) My girls are working on cleaning Tayla's room today. HOLY MESS! And this isn't the first time. I am soooo ready to just take ALL of her stuff away and she can earn things back a little at a time. It is absolutely ridiculous.

I need for Brighton to teach Matilyn to stay in one outfit all day too! What is it about little girls.
