Yesterday, BJ accidentally locked his keys in the car. So, he called me and asked me to bring his spare keys out to him. So, after Jase's afternoon nap, the kids and I headed into town. Of course, any reason the girls get to spend time with Grandpa Dave and Grandma Char is a special treat. Literally. Grandma spoils them with treats and Grandpa had treasures for each of the girls that he had brought back from market. After they got totally spoiled, we all headed out to the new In-n-Out for dinner. While eating, we were talking about how it had rained the day before. The girls had a lot to say and were all talking over each other trying to tell their versions of the story. After they all provided their info, I had to fill in the blanks. Here is the story: We had an ant problem the other day. They were finding their way in our house through the door to our back patio. So, BJ put some ant killer poison down and told the girls they were not allowed to go in the backyard for awhile. But, since it was raining, I gave them permission to jump over the ant poison and run out to the trampoline. At this point in the story, Dave said, "I hate ants. They are nasty little things." (or something to that effect). Brighton instantly piped up and said...something. She was quite insistent about it only we could not understand her. So, she kept saying it over and over until finally Kennady translated for us. She was saying, "They're Wod's weatures! They're Wod's weatures!" (translated as "They're God's creatures!"). So, apparently it was not okay for us to say we hate ants since Heavenly Father created them too. :)
