monsoon...

Photobucket

So, I am not sure if it is officially monsoon season or not, but we definitely had a monsoon storm yesterday. I love monsoon season. I know that the actual rain is short-lived and then the heat sets in with a vengeance, but even as the storm is rolling in and the black clouds fill the sky, excitement builds. Then the rain lashes down in such a dramatic contrast to the hot sun. It is just really amazing. Of course, the second we saw one sprinkle, the girls were outside to enjoy every moment of it. Now, don't ask me why they are dressed so strangely. That is just what they happened to have on when I called to tell them it was raining. So, this is real life at our house. Kennady is wearing a church dress, minus the coordinating shrug, Addy has on a swimsuit cover-up top, and Brighton is wearing "banerina clothes" with a totally unmatching skirt over it. So, apparently we need some fashion tips around here :) But hey, they are having fun!

I miss the AZ monsoons so much! My mom called me the other day to tell me about the monsoon storm they had (they live in Tucson now) and I was so jealous! We try to take our summer trip there during the monsoon every year. I love it!!

I'm jealous! I was so sad (jealous) when I found out that QC and Gilbert got rain and all I got was a brief smell of rain. Not even a drop! Thanks for taking pictures so that I could enjoy it vicariously. I want rain!
